Corp VS DBS Game 2 “ The Craig Game” 

DBS looked to close out jaw-dropping undefeated season, the Corp had big dreams to ruin that, to the action! Harding J right away, and he looked locked in, Hoh also locked in goes off window 2-2. Hoh floater, Vladi gets to his right and get 2 4-4. Harding gets to his spot again nails it, Nest strong obrd put in 6 all. Ini window, but Craig responds from 3 as he stayed hot from game 1 9-8. Keith beastly and 11-9. Nest gets a mismatch in the post gets easy 2 11 all. Great game so far, and that would continue. Harding J , but Mazz 3 gives Corp the edge, Hoh rack 16-13 Corp. Harding trey we were all tied at 16. Keith gets a bigtime 3 to go 19-16 DBS. Hoh 1-2, Liam 3, Ini hook DBS lead grows to 24-17. Hoh crazy finish, Vladi $ from the line, Nest 3, Hoh fights through contact , Mazz 3, but all Vladi does is hit big shots and he nails a 3 29-27. 

Keith cut 33-28. Nest 3, Vladi 3 back at him 36-31 DBS. Mazz 3, Craig gets grown man strength bodies ini for 2 36 all! Keith up, and under wows the crowd, Craig 2-2ll tied again at 38!. Harding nails 3, Harding 2-2 43-38. Nest hits contested 3, Vladi 2 straight middies 47-41. Hoh window, then he walks in for 2 47-45. Harding MVP’s a 3 50-45. Mazz gets a 3 to go, jake running the floor ties the game at 50 holy fuck what a game! Keith gets spin shot to go, Nest 2-2 clutch, harding j, Vladi 2-2.Mazz fouls out. Nest rack, Vladi misses 1 n 1, Hoh window and we were tied again at 56 holy hell. Harding 2-2, Nest grown man and 1, harding rack, then goes 2-2 for the 4 pt edge, things looking grim for the Corp. jake lined up a 3 it had to go, and it found its way, Vladi 2-2,and then came the last corp possession. HOh attarcked the attention from pretty much all of DBS and I didnt hate it untl the Craiga popped open , lined up the session saving 3 and it was ………………….gooooooooooD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We go to oT 65 ll. 

Harding 2-2, but Hoh hoop. Vladi misses middy, and Jake gets lose for the lay up for the 2 pt lead, Harding who had missed some recent 3’s had ice water and wetted a 3 ball for the lead. DBS needed just one more stop, but again over help led to scramble drill, Craig had keith off balance and snuck in the lane for the lead. DBS with plenty of time for the last shot, Valdi rose up, it looked on, and barley popped out. Corp wins 69-68, probably one of the best game I have ever watched at the CAC, unreal fight from both teams. Wednesday should be un fucking real!! 

Corp

Mazz-C- Not his day, still was able to hit 3’s but he coulda cost his team the game pushing Vladi like that, hes lucky it didnt lead to a tech. 

Hoh-B- Not his best either, but the physicality, and effor are always there, 3 blocks made DBS worry about the paint. 

Jake-B- Huge shots down the stretch, he was playing hesitant, until the bright lights shined, and he came through. 

Nest-A- His incredible playoffs continue. So many big shots, and he got that strip again !! 

Craig-A+- GIANT BALLS!!!!!!! So proud of my guy!!!!

Connor-B- His minutes were good, he didnt kill them. 

DBS 

Harding-A- would have been a+ if they pulle dit out, but I thought he was clutch, and the best player on the floor last night. 

Keith-C+- seemed a little hesitant. Missed some shots that he always hits,and got beat by his brother in big moments. 

Vladi-B-) Shot selction was not the best down the stretch, missed the rare ft, that woulda prob locked it up. Great passing at times though, needs to keep doing that. 

INI-C-) the the best for my man here. He will fight back !

Finals Game 1 – 7pm

We had a great game one to kick off this best-of-3 series. As always with these games, the gym is quiet due to lack of spectators, so it’s harder for the players to get into the game right away. This was obvious as we only had 8 points in the first 5 minutes of the game.

DBS picked up two quick fouls on the first 2-3 possessions, and I thought it was going to be a tight whistle all game, but our ref laid off a bit after setting the tone. Corp did a good job making the most of the sloppy DBS play, coming out with the lead, but lost the lead around the 10-minute mark when DBS tied it up at 14.

DBS carried this momentum into halftime, up 28-23.

Right out of the gate, DBS started pouring it on and running away with it. Harding continued his assault on the rim, and Keith finally decided he could shoot and made a few critical buckets. This wasn’t your standard DBS game. Without checking, I’m sure they or Super Hoopers lead the league in assists, but they were getting a lot of secondary looks off the dribble or on drives. I’m sure this is what Corp wanted, but DBS was making them pay anyways.

DBS led by 13 with 12 minutes to go, 45-32, cut to 11 with 10:00 to play, and then down to 9 with 6:45. Craig and Hoh were playing very well off some Nestler passes, getting their boys back in the game. Mazz was a non-factor thanks to Harding’s playoff defense. There was a fun little no-call on some big-on-big action, with Harry full-on tackling Craig in the paint, claiming he was pushed, but he looked like Dontari Poe with a full head of steam from where I was sitting.

Mazz picked up his 4^th foul on an awful reach-in at half court and had to half-ass defense the rest of the way. DBS continually attacked this and got some easy buckets.

With 2:45 to go, Corp had climbed back to within 6, when Nestler had a crazy strip & score off of Vladi(?), making this a 4-point game with just over 2 to play.

DBS would get another bucket inside, and Mazz would bang his knee on the ensuing possession. Since he was down for so long, the ref made them use a timeout for him to continue playing without a sub—leaving them with none.

Corp would get a bucket here and get it to a 4-point game with under a minute to play. They made a stop at the other end and Craig hit a HUGE three from the right wing to bring it to a 1-point deficit, 56-57. DBS inbounded to Keith who was immediately fouled, but precious seconds had ticked off due to that lack of a timeout—3.3 left.

Keith would hit his first, but then miss his second. If there was an attempt to box the shooter it was failed, as Keith came up with his own rebound on the high-left side of the lane. He immediately dribbled back to half court before he could get fouled again and that’s the ballgame! DBS escapes a gutsy comeback from Corp, 58-56.
