MEMINGER Comes Out on Top in B2 Unification Championship
Seal Team 69 (East 9-3) 55 MEMINGER (South 9-3) 62
Entering the half down 26-33, MEMINGER mounted a strong comeback to take the B2 Uni Championship. Aidan Fite led the way with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. He shot three for eight from downtown, two for two from the line, and showed some impressive touch in the midrange and around the basket. Carlin Champion, Sam Meminger, and Jake Mitchell all scored in double figures as well, with 11, 10, and 10 respectively. Meminger added 7 rebounds and shot six for eight from the line, as his quick drives to the basket make him tough to guard in transition. Mitchell added 6 rebounds and 3 steals, while Champion added 2 assists and 1 steal.
For Seal Team 69, JP Barrett played well with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Jack Hartman added 11 points on some strong takes to the cup, plus one big block. Quinn Connelly came up clutch, shooting three for seven from three to finish with 9 points and 2 assists, while Logan Blake added his signature hustle play to finish with 7 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks. Ultimatley, though, it was not enough to overcome the well-balanced attack of the MEMINGER squad, who’s combination of shooting, hustle, and chemistry put them over the top for the chip.
